Your attendance at gala will support the pre-licensure RN apprentice program at Corewell Health Ludington Hospital, which is a registered apprenticeship through the Department of Labor (DOL), made possible by a collaboration with Westshore Community College and MichiganWorks West Central. Under the direct supervision of licensed registered nurses, these apprentices complete 2000 hours of on-the-job training, immersing themselves in the role of a registered nurse within a rural community hospital. They will gain diverse experiences across multiple practice settings, including the medical-surgical unit, intensive care unit, surgical services department, emergency department and family birthing center. This apprenticeship allows local talent to stay local.

More than just training, this program is about empowering future nurses in our community, building their skills and confidence. With every hour of care, these apprentices are not only shaping their own futures but also making a lasting impact on the lives of their patients.
