Return Services: 3 return trains per hour

Waypoints:  Norland Town, North Dean Wood Farm, Norland Moor, Ryburn Golf Club

Extra: No toilets at walk start. Toilets about an hour from walk end.  Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs)

A moderate walk of between 8 and 9 miles undertaken at a steady pace with ascent of about 1300ft.

A steep climb from the beginning for over a mile then most of the walk is reasonably level until a steep descent near the end.

A few stiles and narrow rocky paths on the moor where care is needed. There may be an occasional boggy patch if wet.

You will be rewarded with magnificent long distance views over the nearby  Pennine towns and valleys.

Good choice of hostelries for after walk refreshments.
