Nature Walk at The Residency

Lucknow Heritage Walks is delighted to announce a special Nature Walk at The Residency, Lucknow, to be led by Mohammad Ahsan, retired IFS officer and renowned naturalist. The Residency, best known for its pivotal role in the Uprising of 1857, is not only a historic landmark but also a serene green oasis in the heart of the city. Its sprawling campus is home to centuries-old trees, diverse plant species, and rich natural beauty that often goes unnoticed. For the first time, our walk will place greater emphasis on the natural heritage of the Residency—its trees, greenery, and ecological significance—rather than focusing solely on the historical ruins.

Participants will get an opportunity to appreciate the unique flora that adds life and character to this iconic site. We will conclude the walk with a brief discussion on the history of the Residency, connecting its natural and historical narratives.
