The main motive to establish this community is to establish a platform for young talented security researchers & to spread awareness about the real insights of Hacking and Security. There is a hoax surrounding the likes of the profession of Hacking. Basically what most of people presume about a hacker or hacking in an older less stigmatized definition of a hacker which is more synonymous with computer criminals. Now this is just one side of the coin. There is yet another definition to it which is more ethical. They find and fix vulnerabilities and secure the IT world. They are the true heroes of the IT world and people should must recognise and appreciate them for their good deeds. We are setting up a platform for talented security professionals/enthusiasts all around India to increase the scope in Cyber Security.
In today's cyber world internet/cyber security is no more "a good to have" but "a must have". It is the fifth dimension of Indian Security. We had conducted 2 International Information Security Conferences named as DEFCON Lucknow & OWASP Lucknow which was India's one of the most popular security conferences. Now we have replcaed it with "Hackers Day".
