PFLAG Lubbock meetings are a safe place to share our experiences in small groups and support each other in the continuing process of learning, acceptance, and celebration. Our meetings begin at 7:00 pm but come a few minutes early to meet others and browse materials.
This months meeting will include presentations by members wanting to serve on the PFLAG Lubbock Board.
Serving on the board means fostering allyship, building connections with local advocacy and support communities, driving meaningful change, and standing in solidarity as an active ally. The Board shall be elected by the general membership for a term of one fiscal year (October through September), and are eligible for re-election.
There are no costs associated with being on the board, but each person is required to be a member in good standing.
1.) All participants must be present and prepare a brief statement.
2.) Paid members will vote.
Note: all Chapter members in good standing shall have the right to one vote per position at the annual election meeting.
Our organization does not promote one religion or political party or candidate over another. We represent people of many backgrounds, political persuasions, and faiths. All are welcome.
