What this workshop is
This is a 30-minute interactive session designed to shift the often high-stress, emotionally-charged world of co-parenting into a more structured, low-conflict approach that puts children’s well-being first. Immediately following the presentation, there will be a 20-minute Q&A to address specific concerns and situations.
The talk is geared toward parents and guardians who are either navigating separation or divorce, or who, for whatever reason, share the responsibility of raising children while living in separate households. It’s equally valuable for new co-parenting pairs who want to establish a healthy foundation from the beginning.
Who should attend
Parents currently experiencing high conflict with a former partner.
Parents who want proven strategies to improve communication and reduce friction.
Parents who aim to ensure emotional stability and continuity for their children during transitions.
New co-parents looking to start strong with routines, boundaries, and mutual agreement.
What you will walk away with
Attendees will gain practical skills and actionable tools, including:
Low-Conflict Communication: Use the “Soul/Sole” model (a framework introduced in the talk) to keep interactions brief, neutral and child-centred—avoiding emotional triggers and keeping the conversation on track.
Child-Centered Scheduling: How to build a detailed functional parenting schedule (including holidays and special events) that prioritizes predictability and helps minimize last-minute disputes.
Consistent Boundaries: Define shared rules and expectations (homework, bedtime, discipline) across households so children experience stability rather than confusion.
Building Resiliency in Children: Recognize and steer clear of typical co-parenting pitfalls, such as using children as messengers, negative talk about the other parent, or inconsistent rules. Which can otherwise undermine children’s emotional wellbeing.
Why this matters
Co-parenting is not simply managing a relationship—it’s a partnership centred on the welfare of children. When parents establish a unified front, consistent routines, and low-conflict interaction, those children are far more likely to experience stability, emotional safety, and resilience despite household transitions. This workshop equips parents to make that shift.
