- **Event Description**: Shelley King headlines this year with outreach, pro workshops, jam session, and a Cactus Theater concert, plus a donor preview night.About this EventThis year’s event will be headlined by powerhouse Texas vocalist and songwriter Shelley King with Lubbock’s own legend John Sprott and his blues band. Continuing our partnership with Lubbock ISD, and our tradition of bringing music directly to the community, the fest will kick off with a visit from King to Coronado High School and then to TTU School of Music on February 20 to talk with students.The following day, workshops will be held at LHUCA where King will open up the day. We'll kick off at 10:00am.Educational sessions on creating video content to promote music will be featured this year. Learn from Lubbock's own Clement Hall Band about making a great Reel as they share their suggestions and answer questions.Thomas Boyd, with Texas Tech University, will share insight on guerilla videography - how to make the most of what you have and share insights on his work with the Flatland Forever Documentary which featured Flatland Cavalry's journey.   Lunch will be served to allow for great networking with Lubbock's industry pros.The ever-popular jam session will round out the day in the LHUCA Firehouse Theatre.The capstone concert will be held at the Cactus Theatre with an unforgettable night of music which is open to Fest attendees and the community.
