Lubbock, get ready! The 13th Annual Cinco de Mayo Parade, hosted by Los Hermanos Familia and Latino Lubbock Magazine, is set for Saturday, May 2, 2026! This vibrant community celebration is the official Cinco de Mayo Parade of Lubbock, and it brings together families, friends, and organizations from across the South Plains.
Theme: “Anything for Selenas”
Let’s commemorate Selena and bring her musical legacy to light. Decorate in song, purple, white roses - you pick and we will love! Bring her memory to life in full color and creativity! Whether you’re designing a float or cheering from the sidelines, this year’s theme invites you to showcase culture, community, and fun.
Parade Details:
• Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
• Line-up: 9 AM (Check-in on Avenue V – registered vehicles only)
• Start Time: 10 AM
• Route: East on historic Broadway from Avenue U to the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center
Who Can Participate:
Everyone is welcome—schools, bands, churches, businesses, nonprofits, veterans, dance groups, families, and more. If you want to celebrate Lubbock’s culture and community spirit, we want you there!
Spectators:
Line the sidewalks and enjoy a parade filled with music, color, and joy. Last year’s event welcomed more than 7,000 attendees, and we’re excited to make this year even bigger.
