- **Event Description**: Thank you for coming to this celebration of the life and art of John Fox, an inspirational man we all loved.About this EventFoxy's RaveWe will be in and around the Farmers Arms in Spark Bridge where there is space for music, dancing, eating, drinking and camping. There will be a Big Top and other tents in the two fields that look out over the beautiful Lake District hills.We are in a rural setting, five miles from Ulverston, so you will need your own transport, car share or taxi. Please car share where possible due to limited car parking space onsite. There are no local shops and be prepared for Cumbrian weather.Sorry but no dogs.We have the venue from Friday until Monday so campers are welcome to stay for this duration. Ideally have your tent erected by 12.00 on the Saturday.If you have a folding chair, please bring it. We will have a limited number of bench seats.We are asking for a donation of at least £30 per person to cover the cost of putting on the event. No-one is being paid and any surplus money after the costs have been paid will be donated to St. Mary's Hospice, UlverstonFood, camping and parking included in your donation.Please bring money for the bar.Saturday 2nd MayWELCOME & GATHER (12.00) : homemade soup and the bar will also start servingFOXY'S SONGBOOK (2pm) : a concert by a great cast of musicians and singers in the Big TopBLAST FURNESS (3.30pm) : outside in the field with this fab local streetbandTIME TOGETHER (4.30) : socialising, gallery, films, slides, tunesPIE AND PEAS SUPPER (6pm)TRIBUTES and POEMS (7.00pm) : words from friends and readings of Johns poems in the Big TopDANCE TO THE BAND (8.30pm) : party music from the phenomenal SALT the BAND and friends. Outdoor pizza ovenFIRE and the WHEEL (10pm) : a gentle procession to the fire pitBOOM BIKE JUKE BOX (11 till late) : dancing and drinking in the pub barsSunday 3rd MayGRAND PICNIC (12.00pm) : a glorious spread of locally sourced foodSING THE SONGS TOGETHER (2pm) : sing some of John's favourite songs with usFAMILY CEILIDH (3.30pm) : the dances and tunes we know and loveTEA AND CAKES (4.30pm)STREETBAND GROOVES (5pm) : open to everyone, come and playPlease book a ticket for each person and let us know about dietary requirements and camping / camping vans (see below)
