Join us for a special night-time event to celebrate customer appreciation week. Staff at EOTW have witnessed many interesting species of lepidoptera and at this event we will attempt to see some of them and talk about their favorite host plants. There are no guarantees, but who knows? —Maybe we will encounter some of the beautiful moths found locally: Regal, Imperial, Io, Cecropia, Rosy Maple, or the fascinating Luna moth. We don’t know who will show up, but we will see!
This talk is intended for anyone who wants to learn more about several interesting moth species known to use native plants as host plants. After this talk, you may come away finding new ways to support these beautiful insects and find them at one’s own home.
It will be dark when you head back to the car so you should bring a headlamp or flashlight. We will be standing in one area reviewing information and observing moths and insects after dark.
Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. In the event we need to cancel due to weather we will notify you via the email address you used to register.
