Doglaw: What every responsible dog owner needs to know.

Our Dog Training Society, Happy Paws, will be hosting a Dog Law Seminar which will take place on Saturday 22nd September at the Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve, Education Centre, Burnt Hill Lane, Carlton Colville, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 8HU.

Presented by Solicitor, Trevor Cooper, this seminar is a wide ranging mix of legal issues that are important to dog owners, including:

* rights and responsibilities when buying and selling dogs
* liability (both civil and criminal) for dogs that harm people and animals
* identification requirements / the legal implications of microchipping
* noise nuisance
* Public Spaces Protection Orders
* Community Protection Notices
* Breed Specific Legislation
* cruelty / Duty of Care
* and much, much more!

The Seminar will be for 3.5 hours and will commence at 10am and complimentary refreshments will be provided.

The seminar is aimed at entertaining the audience as well as to inform. You will also be entitled to receive a certificate of attendance and all these are personalised.

About Trevor Cooper

Trevor has specialised in Doglaw for 23 years and is widely regarded as a leading solicitor in England and Wales for this niche area of law in both civil and criminal cases. Trevor started his career in local government and has acted for the prosecution (having been a Principal Solicitor with the Environment Agency for 5 years) as well as the defence – he was also a Magistrate on the North Yorkshire bench.

Trevor was formerly the Doglaw specialist for Dogs Trust and currently splits his time acting as the Doglaw Consultant for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home as well as continuing to act for dog owners, as well as dog related professionals and organisations in both civil and criminal proceedings.
