Enjoy an amazing night with legendary blues artist Darren Watson. Darren is a seasoned singer-songwriter and blues musician with over three decades of experience in the music industry. Based in Aotearoa/New Zealand, Darren has built a reputation for his authentic blues sound, combining traditional influences with contemporary themes. His music is characterised by thoughtful lyrics, skilled guitar work, and a voice that carries both grit and soul.

With Darren for this intimate Shed appearance will be stellar double bassist Steve Moodie, and once wunderkind but still wunderful guitarist Chris Armour. 

Darren first gained recognition in the 1980s as the leader and frontman of the New Zealand band Chicago Smoke Shop. Since then, he has pursued a successful solo career, releasing a series of well-received albums. His 2020 album, Getting Sober for the End of the World, was widely praised for its sharp social commentary and musical craftsmanship, earning airplay and accolades both locally and internationally. It saw Darren nominated as a finalist for the 2021 Aotearoa Music Award for Best Folk Artist.
