Sustainable Coastlines and Conservation Volunteers NZ have partnered up to deliver a huge community clean-up day across Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai Lower Hutt, thanks to Hutt City Council. Join us for the inaugural Clean Up The Hutt event on Saturday, 13 December 2025!
Come along to be part of this massive community day spanning the coastline, as well as inland sites to stop the litter getting to the beach in the first place. We’ll provide everything you need to clean up, plus prizes, kai, and good vibes.
Everyone is welcome to this free, weekend event — families looking for a fun day out with the kids, individuals wanting to meet likeminded people, colleagues looking to use that volunteer day, or groups of mates keen to get their hands dirty. We’re all there for the same reason: to protect the places we love.
