The set up is more compact and much less messy than oils; truly a very handy medium for traveling and quick sketches almost anywhere.You may have noticed a recent resurgence in popularity of gouache on social media, and perhaps have even been curious enough to try it, only to discover how difficult it is to control it.In this workshop, I will break down the unique quirks and characteristics of the medium, and explain why it's so difficult to control. And then, I will show you exactly what you need to do overcome these annoying obstacles so that we can tame the beast.The workshop will be held indoors, working with photo references. There will be plenty of demos and hands-on instruction.Included in the workshop will be a brand new, full-color instructional book explaining everything you need to know! This book is available only as a workshop accompaniment, and not available for sale.Franciscan Life Process CenterArt Workshop Registration and Cancellation PolicyA $150 deposit or payment in full is required for enrollment in any workshop. Check-out is no later than 9:00 AM on the day of your departure unless other arrangements have been made. Bed linens and towels are included.Animals are not allowed in the building. Documented and identified service animals may accompany a guest in FLPC buildings.Guests are responsible for any damage to the rooms or FLPC building.Guests are most welcome to use the trails for walking or running. Please use only the marked paths around the FLPC (a map can be found in the room). The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist residences are private property. The farm and gardens may not be accessed without permission. Animal interaction must be accompanied by a staff member or Sister.Any accidents or injuries occurring on the FLPC property should be reported to the FLPC Director as soon as possible.FLPC does not allow smoking on the grounds or in any of its buildings.Alcohol is not permitted when any person under 21 is present. The possession or use of any controlled substance is prohibited on FLPC grounds.
