So how do we make those pastel sticks speak so differently? From images we cannot ever feel or even touch to those of objects we can hold onto and be held by, we will explore how to make those images distinctly different from each other with the use of line, edges, application, hue and light. We will make use of both small thumbnails to set up an interesting design and set up for success with the underpainting. This is the process of magic that we hold in our hands. We will explore the characteristics of at least two different surfaces. And a major emphasis will be placed on ever important values! You can expect to have two sketches at the end of the second day and a more confident skill set to bring to your landscapes.Franciscan Life Process CenterArt Workshop Registration and Cancellation PolicyA $150 deposit or payment in full is required for enrollment in any workshop. Check-out is no later than 9:00 AM on the day of your departure unless other arrangements have been made. Bed linens and towels are included.Animals are not allowed in the building. Please use only the marked paths around the FLPC (a map can be found in the room). The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist residences are private property. The farm and gardens may not be accessed without permission. Animal interaction must be accompanied by a staff member or Sister.Any accidents or injuries occurring on the FLPC property should be reported to the FLPC Director as soon as possible.FLPC does not allow smoking on the grounds or in any of its buildings.Alcohol is not permitted when any person under 21 is present.
