Join us for a trail walk on Tuesday, August 5th from 9-11 AM at Pawtucket Farm Wildlife Sanctuary!
This will be a leisurely walk along accessible, All Person Trails with many stops to observe wildflowers, trees and shrubs. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
With views of the Merrimack River, this serene 22-acre sanctuary features diverse habitats including meadows, wetlands, heathland, and forest. We’ll focus on native plant species that are re-populating this former Christmas tree farm, especially within the heathland plant community.
This event is weather-dependent and will be postponed to August 6th if there is heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme heat.
RSVP: Please register in advance to secure your spot as space is limited. Taking public transportation or carpooling is highly encouraged as parking is limited at this time.
Please note, since this is a wildlife sanctuary:
Dog walking and horseback riding are prohibited; please leave all animals and pets at home (service animals welcome)
Foot travel only; please stay on trails (day passes are available for powered mobility devices)
Camping, collecting, smoking, hunting, fishing, releasing of animals, and feeding wildlife is prohibited. We appreciate your understanding.
