Royal Remains - photographs by Tory Wesnofske

Cinematheque - interactive video installation by Greg Kowalski

A movie theater at the end of its life, long after the crowds had gone and the doors shuttered for nearly 40 years. These photographs linger on the small details left behind, treating the building as both a place and a memory. The work is about loss, but also about presence - what remains when something beloved is almost gone.

Cinematheque offers an alternative way of looking at color films. As the viewer plays a film from a list, frame samples extracted in real time appear on the screen to reveal its distinct color palette. As the film unfolds the result is an ever-changing display of colors and textures.
