The emphasis of the class will focus on choosing good reference material and building your confidence to make changes to those choices to make stronger painting. I will give you the tools to make paintings and not just copies of your photographs. I will stress the fundamentals and why they are so important when making decisions in your paintings. How you start a painting is just as important has how you finish it. We will leave the details to the cameras and break out the big brushes!Please bring reference materials, a sketch pad, and a sense of humor. This workshop will be too serious to be taken seriously.Franciscan Life Process CenterArt Workshop Registration and Cancellation PolicyA $150 deposit or payment in full is required for enrollment in any workshop. Check-out is no later than 9:00 AM on the day of your departure unless other arrangements have been made. Bed linens and towels are included.Animals are not allowed in the building. Documented and identified service animals may accompany a guest in FLPC buildings.Guests are responsible for any damage to the rooms or FLPC building.Guests are most welcome to use the trails for walking or running. Please use only the marked paths around the FLPC (a map can be found in the room). The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist residences are private property. The farm and gardens may not be accessed without permission. Animal interaction must be accompanied by a staff member or Sister.Any accidents or injuries occurring on the FLPC property should be reported to the FLPC Director as soon as possible.FLPC does not allow smoking on the grounds or in any of its buildings.Alcohol is not permitted when any person under 21 is present. The possession or use of any controlled substance is prohibited on FLPC grounds.
