- **Event Description**: Help TNC tend to the pollinator garden at Fortune's Cove Preserve!About this EventThe Nature Conservancy is looking for 5-10 volunteers to help tend to our pollinator garden at Fortune's Cove Preserve in Lovingston, VA! The garden was planted last spring and needs to be weeded and watered to prepare for another growing season. We will also plant additional seedlings in sparse areas.Staff from Little Bluestem, a local native plant nursery, will provide guidance for the workday and can answer any questions volunteers may have about creating or maintaining their own pollinator gardens! Be prepared to bend, lift, and dig. We will work for about three hours, or until all work is complete. Please bring water, snacks/lunch, wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty, and closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen and insect spray may also be helpful.
