A special use permit for a rezoning of land to accommodate campgrounds in the Tye River region is moving forward! 

The public hearing for the rezoning proposal for a campground in our area has been scheduled. It is my understanding that two different campgrounds are scheduled for the 25th, a small one on Tye River Road, past St. Stephen's church, down towards and before Buffalo River. The large campgrounds involving two parcels, the Morse
Lane Project involving 103 acres. I oppose both for a range of reasons: conservation, noise, light, and tributary concerns. For Wednesday, February 25th, at the Nelson County Courthouse, General District Courtroom on the 3rd floor, at 7pm.
