Volunteers Needed for KYMBA Louisville’s Waverly Park Dig Day!!!

KYMBA Louisville is excited to announce another Waverly Park Dig Day and we need volunteers to join us! We’ll be working in partnership with Louisville Parks & Recreation, Natural Areas / Jefferson Memorial Forest Division. They will provide all the necessary tools, gloves, and a water cooler for volunteers.
We will also be collaborating with volunteers from Catalyst Sports. Our goal is to improve accessibility on the Clinic Loop for adaptive riders by performing trail maintenance, including:
• Removing soil from the inside edge of the trail
• Creating soil humps to smooth root transitions
• Trimming smaller roots with loppers
• Installing a small reroute around two tight trees
Let’s work together to build great trails and strengthen our relationship with the parks department and the local community.
