Improv Basics Starter Series 1 is the first course in a 5-part series designed to give you a slower, more accessible, and more affordable way to explore the fundamentals of improv. This 4-week series takes the Level One for Performers 7-week curriculum and breaks the material down into a more relaxed pace of study. Rather than moving through the entire Level One curriculum in seven consecutive weeks, this Starter Series focuses on the foundational skills from the first week of the Performer Level One program and gives you four weeks to practice, explore, and build confidence with those concepts. This format is perfect for people who are curious about improv, want to try a class before committing to a longer program, or simply prefer learning in a slower-paced environment. Through guided exercises, games, and collaborative scene work, you’ll begin developing the core skills every improviser needs, including: • Listening and reacting in the moment • Making confident choices • Supporting your scene partners • Embracing the principles of “Yes, And” • Thinking on your feet • Building characters • Becoming more comfortable performing in front of others • Taking creative risks in a supportive, no- judgment environment You don't need previous acting or improv experience.
