Rehearsals begin toward the end of September and the schedule will be built around actor availability.

Those auditioning for a primary principal role should prepare the designated cut for their character. Those auditioning for a secondary principal or ensemble may prepare a 32ish-bar cut of any musical theatre song. Auditions will be done to tracks. Primary principal tracks are in the above folder. Those auditioning for secondary principal/ensemble roles will submit their own track in advance. Further details will be sent upon completing the form.

Be aware that there will also be a movement call at preliminary auditions, so dress comfortably!

Please Note: Those auditioning for Hans and Kristoff should prepare both Side 1 and Side 2.

PLOT SYNOPSIS
Inspired by Disney's landmark 2013 film, FROZEN follows two princess sisters in the Kingdom of Arendelle. The older sister, Elsa, was born with magical powers that she tries earnestly to hide as she approaches the day she becomes queen. Meanwhile Anna, the younger sister, is full of hope, optimism and excitement for possibility. But when Elsa loses control of her powers, the kingdom is thrown into a ferocious winter storm of ice that only an act of true love can thaw.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Please Note: Auditions are open to those ages 8 and up. Primary principals, other than Olaf, Young Elsa and Young Anna, must be played by actors 18 or older. If a parent is filling out for a child, please include child name and parent contact info. Children may audition for Young Anna, Young Elsa, Olaf or Ensemble.

PRIMARY PRINCIPALS

ELSA (Female-presenting, any race/ethnicity)
Future Queen of Arendelle and Anna’s older sister, born with magical powers, isolates herself from others out of fear.
Vocal range: E3-Eb5

ANNA (Female-presenting, any race/ethnicity)
Princess of Arendelle and Elsa’s younger sister; an eternal optimist who longs to be loved and to connect with other people.
Vocal range: G3-A4

OLAF (Any gender, any race/ethnicity, any age)
Magical snowman with a childlike innocence.
Vocal range (tenor) : B2 - Bb4

KRISTOFF (Male-presenting, any race/ethnicity)
Hardworking ice harvester with a prickly exterior that hides a big heart.
Vocal range: A2-Bb4

HANS (Male-presenting, any race/ethnicity)
Prince of the Southern Isles and youngest of 13 brothers, charming and ambitious.
Vocal range: A2-A4

YOUNG ANNA (Female-presenting, any race/ethnicity, to play 8-10 years old)
Younger princess of Arendelle with youthful exuberance, fun-loving troublemaker, mesmerized by her sister’s magic.
Vocal range: Bb3-E5

YOUNG ELSA (Female-presenting, any race/ethnicity, to play 10-12 years old)
Elder princess of Arendelle with magical powers, obedient daughter, protective sister.
