Acclaimed LGBTQ+ journalist and author Nico Lang is bringing their groundbreaking book, American Teenager, to Louisville for a special one-night-only event. Join us at the Louisville Pride Center on Thursday, July 31st, for an urgent and enlightening discussion about the lives of transgender youth across the nation and the future of LGBTQ+ equality.
Lang’s new book, American Teenager, gives a vital platform to the stories of trans youth. After an eight-month national tour that has drawn standing-room-only crowds, Lang comes to Louisville to share these powerful narratives.
The event will feature a dynamic conversation with author Nico Lang and renowned local advocate Chris Hartman, Executive Director of Fairness Kentucky. The discussion, moderated by Queer Kentucky Editor in Chief Spencer Jenkins, will explore the poignant stories from American Teenager, address the escalating attacks on transgender youth both locally and nationally, and discuss the wider state of LGBTQ+ rights and equality.
This promises to be a thought-provoking and essential conversation for our community and allies.
