Saturday the patch opens at 10am and closes at 7pm. Movies open at 7pm.
Sunday the patch opens at 10am and closes at 6pm.

For the very first time, Applegate Farms is opening the gates to our Pumpkin Patch, and we want you to be part of the weekend that starts it all!

We’ve spent months planting, planning, building, dreaming and asking ourselves, “What else could we possibly add?” 😂

Now it’s finally time.

Welcome to APPLEGATE’S FIRST FALL — our Grand Opening Harvest Festival!

We want opening weekend to feel like the fall festivals many of us remember growing up: pumpkins, farm animals, homemade food, local artisans, old-fashioned games, families spending the day together and something fun around every corner.

And because this is Applegate, we’re adding a few twists of our own.

Some attractions are weather-dependent and some premium activities may require an additional ticket.

🥧🍎 GRANDMA’S COUNTRY KITCHEN

Everybody says Grandma makes the best pie.

We’re giving Grandma a chance to prove it. 😂

Opening Weekend will feature our first Grandma’s Country Kitchen Competition, celebrating those recipes that have been written on index cards, passed around family tables and perfected over generations.

We’re planning categories such as:

🍞 Breads & Rolls
🍰 Cakes
🍪 Cookies
🍓 Jams & Jellies
👧 Junior Bakers
🏆 Best Overall Country Kitchen Entry

And despite the name, you absolutely do NOT have to be a grandma to enter!

Grandpas, moms, dads, kids, neighbors and that aunt who has been guarding her pie recipe for 30 years are all invited to compete.

We’ll have Applegate Blue Ribbons and bragging rights on the line!

🧺🎨 CALLING LOCAL MAKERS, ARTISTS & CRAFTERS — SET UP FREE!

We want our Grand Opening to celebrate the talented people in our surrounding communities.

For this special opening weekend, we’re inviting local artisans, artists, crafters, makers and growers to set up at Applegate Farms with NO VENDOR FEE.

We’re looking for things like:

🧼 Handmade soaps
🎨 Art
🧶 Crochet & fiber arts
🍂 Fall décor
💍 Jewelry
🪡 Handmade crafts
🌻 Farm & garden goods
🎁 Locally made products

🎨 OPENING WEEKEND CRAFT

In honor of Grandma’s Country Kitchen, kids can decorate their own old-fashioned wooden kitchen spoon to take home.

Because apparently we’re sending children home with utensils now. 😂

🍎 COME HUNGRY

The Applegate kitchen will be celebrating fall right along with everyone else.

We’re planning opening-weekend favorites like:

🥮 Applegate Cinnamon Rolls
🥧 Pies & cobblers
🍏 Caramel apples
🍎 Apple cider
☕ Hot chocolate as the evenings cool down
🍔 Farm concessions

And we’re working on some special Grandma’s Country Kitchen-inspired foods just for this weekend.

🎶 FALL FESTIVAL FUN

We’re also hoping to bring in local musicians and demonstrators throughout the weekend.

Grab some food, find a seat, let the kids play and enjoy a fall day on the farm.

🌙🎬 AND WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN… APPLEGATE AFTER DARK BEGINS.

Opening weekend also launches our outdoor fall movie series!

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and settle in under the stars.

A perfect friendly-ghost movie to kick off our very first movie night.

Then we’ll have a short intermission while our younger ghosts and goblins head home…

Things get considerably less friendly after dark. 😬

The second Friday feature is intended for mature audiences. Please review the movie rating and content before bringing younger viewers.

Spend Saturday at the Pumpkin Patch, grab some dinner and concessions, then finish the night with the Addams Family under the stars.

🎟️ MOVIES ARE SEPARATE ADMISSION

Movie admission is NOT included with Pumpkin Patch or Adventure Pass admission.

That means you can visit the Pumpkin Patch without attending a movie—or come specifically for movie night.

Movie ticket prices and purchasing details will be announced separately.

🍿 Concessions will remain open for the movies.

🪑 Bring lawn chairs and blankets!

🎃 DAYTIME TICKET OPTIONS

We plan to offer flexible options so families aren’t forced to pay for activities they don’t intend to use.

Options will include general farm admission, individual activity tickets and our Applegate Adventure Pass, which bundles many of our major activities into one ticket.

Premium experiences such as pony rides and face painting may be separately priced.

Full admission and season-pass information will be announced soon.

❤️ BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS WEEKEND IS YOU.

There has never been an Applegate Farms Pumpkin Patch before.

No one has a picture from last year’s pumpkin patch.

No child can say they’ve been coming here every fall since they were little.

Not yet.

That’s what makes September 18-20 so special.

The families who walk through our gates that weekend will be the families who were here when it all started.

Our hope is that years from now, kids who are grown will bring their own children here and say:

“I’ve been coming to Applegate every fall since their very first year.”

And we’ll know exactly which year they mean.
