- **Event Description**: ?Join me for a special Summer Solstice edition of Yoga, Sound & Sunset at the beautiful Mellor’s Wood.?

Taking place during the week of the Summer Solstice, this gathering is an opportunity to celebrate the season of light, warmth and connection in nature.

The Summer Solstice marks the longest days of the year and, in Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is associated with the Fire element – the energy of joy, vitality, expansion and the heart.

We’ll begin with around an hour of gentle movement, blending Hatha Yoga, Qigong and breathwork to help balance the heightened energy of the season and bring us into a grounded, relaxed state.

From there, we’ll settle into a long immersive sound bath with large gongs, singing bowls and voice, before gathering by the fire pit for a sunset meditation as day slowly turns to dusk.

If the weather is kind, we’ll practice outdoors and enjoy the sunset together. If not, we’ll stay cosy in the bell tent and close the evening with candlelight Trataka meditation.

There is something truly special about practising in nature. The sounds, the stillness and the connection to the earth allow the vibrations of the gongs and bowls to be felt more deeply throughout the whole body.

About Karolina - Surya Yoga & Sound:

Karolina is a sound practitioner,  yogini, and rhythm lover with a background in social and cultural development. Her practice blends yoga, breath, and sound to invite presence, rest, and reconnection.
 Trained in traditional Hatha and Nada Yoga in India, and later in Vinyasa, Yin, and Sound Healing in the UK, she brings over a decade of experience.
Karolina is at her happiest when in nature. Music and dance enhance her connection to people and nourish her inner raving spirit. Founder of Surya Rhythm Festival & Surya Day Fest.
