This year’s course focuses specifically on the role played by women in trade union and working class history.

This session will be tutored by Cathy Hunt, an independent historian with a special interest in women workers and activists in the early 20th century British labour movement. She has written a biography of the trade union leader, Mary Macarthur and a history of the union she founded in 1906, the National Federation of Women Workers.
