U70kg Mens world championships returns! After the huge success of last year we now go bigger and better by adding the phenomenal category of the u57kg women to the ALSTRENGTH CHAMPIONSHIPS!

All athletes must be at venue for 10am to check in
The under 57s just like the u70s do not have a clear world championships for all athletes to compete in let lone to win part of a prize pot!
That's right. There will be a prize pot of a minimum £1000 for these athlete to win a share of including bonuses for World records!
Lets find out what is in store for these amazing athletes.
EVENT 1
MAX LOG
All athletes will attempt each lift until we have a last man or woman standing. 2 athletes will go at a time and have 45 seconds to complete the lift. All lifting equipment allowed. All logs will be strength shop 13''
u57s will start at 50kg and go up in rounds of 5kgs
u70s will start at 76kg and go up in rounds of 10kgs
EVENT 2
AXLE DEADLIFT FOR REPS
Athletes will have a weight choice here with reps at a higher weight beating any reps of a lower weight. only reps you complete at your highest weight will count. So if you do a rep at the higher option there's no need to drop down as you cannot add to your score. If you do reps at a lower weight then decide to try the higher weight and get a rep, your score is one rep at the higher weight. Suits allowed, all straps allowed, no sumo, no hooks.
u57s 140 kg or 170kg
u70s 200kg or 240kg
EVENT 3
SUPER YOKE
12m in distance. Fastest time wins. Weight option. Athletes choosing the heavier option must complete course to beat athletes choosing the lighter option. 60s time limit.
u57s 160kg or 200kg
u70s 260kg or 310kg
EVENT 4
FARMERS FOR DISTANCE
Athletes have 60seconds to carry the farmers as many times between the 12 metre markers as possible. no drops allowed. Once you drop you are out and a distance measured.

u70s 100kg per hand
EVENT 5
CIRCUS DUMBELL FOR REPS.
60S TIME LIMIT. Clean and press the dumbell as many times as possible in a minute. trump weight options. Reps done at a higher weight trumps any reps done at a lighter weight.
all dumbells are strengthshop unless specified.
u57s options: 28kg (unspec) 31kg, 35kg (holle) 42kg
u70s options: 42kg, 48kg, 53kg, 58kg, 64kg, 71kg, 78kg
Event 6
SANDBAG HELL 2.0
Last year we brought you a sandbag event that tested even the fittest of athletes. This year we have another sandbag event to really test the worlds best.
3 reps shoulder first sandbag, 2 reps second sandbag (heavier) loaded over a yoke (1st rep you carry in from 5m out), 1 rep on very heavy sandbag load over yoke. Fastest time wins. Split times given at rep 3 and 5.
u57s 60kg to 70kg to 90kg (42 inch yoke)
u70s 80kg to 100kg to 120kg (46 inch yoke)
MINIMUM PRIZEMONEY TO BE WON
1ST PLACE £250, 2ND PLACE £125, 3RD PLACE £75. (PLEASE BRING LOTS OF SPECTATORS TO ADD MORE ;)
ALL ATHLETES ENTRY IS NON REFUNDABLE. EVENTS AND WEIGHTS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. PARKING AT VENUE IS PAYABLE BUT ONLY £1 IF DONE ON THE DAY.
