We will continue the healing process with the second of a four-part series of Rites that we are featuring at the 2026 Rejuvenation Circles, the Rites of the Munay Ki. These Rites help us reconnect with our Inner Healer, deepen our connection with the rhythms of nature, support us in our families' health and wellness, and strengthen our communities. There are 10 Rites in the Munay Ki which were first shared with Anna Chaney, Energy Healer, by Dr. Alberto Villodo and Marcela Lobos, of the Four Winds Society. These rites were initially transmitted to Dr. Alberto and Marcela by ancestral healers of the Andes Mountain region and have been passed along to hundreds of thousands of healers around the world. It is our honor to share these rites with you and connect you to a lineage of healers, awakening your inner healer for self-healing and for the healing of others. The second rite, known in the Quechua language as the Chumpi Karpay (meaing Bands of Power), has been passed along for centuries to connect us with the power of the sacred healing elements. During this rite, there are five energetic belts woven around the body with the essence of each element: earth, water, fire, air, and pure light. These bands strengthen our connection with nature and act as filters disintegrating negative and heavy energies, thus protecting us physically and psychically. In this way we can be more present and available for life, instead of squandering our energy in fear, doubt or worry. We will begin with an exercise to ground, focus, and tune in to the essence and intention of the Chumpi Karpay. Enjoy creating a sand painting collectively and deepen our understanding of the power and use of these energetic bands. Then, each participant will receive the rite in the sacred healing space of Honey’s Farmhouse Studio. Chef Rebecca will nourish us with delicious treats that enhance our connection and energetic attunement to the Bands of Power Rite.
