REI announced in October of that year that it would close its stores on Black Friday give its employees the day off to #OptOutside and encourage others around the country to skip the shopping lines and do the same. Even as "Black Friday" has changed over the years, the sentiment remains, we want to spend time outdoors with you. Join us on Friday, November 28th at 8am at Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. We will have giveaways, café and other treats. The hike will be around 3 miles and have 650ft in elevation gain, easy to moderate, but we will hike at a comfortable pace as a group.  We cannot guarantee parking, so please arrive early, the only parking area is Bear Creek Redwoods Alma Parking Area. Pets are NOT allowed. There are restrooms there. #OptOutside is about choosing life outdoors. Start your own tradition. Gather your favorite people, go to your most beloved places, share your best days outside. JOIN US!
