She is the author of five books, including Hollywoodland and First Women of Hollywood. She has been published in Women Film Pioneers Project, San Francisco Silent Film Festival, Noir City Magazine, Toluca Lake magazine, and lectures for such groups as Osher Lifelong Institute at UCLA, UCLA Extension, Poster House, and the Ebell Club of Los Angeles.
