This workshop is intended for motivated adults who would like to change their names and are willing to fill out the paperwork themselves without legal representation. This workshop is open to Los Angeles County residents who are 18 years or older.Workshop includes:The court forms needed to file for an adult name changeHow to accurately complete the formsHow to ask the court to waive court fees based on your low incomeWhere to file your completed court formsHow to publish a name change in a local newspaperHow to prepare for your court hearingWhat to bring:Social Security Number (SSN)Driver’s license or California identification numberProof of your income if you will be applying for a fee waiver.
