The LAX Dunes are the largest remaining fragment of the southern coastal dune ecosystem in Los Angeles. This precious natural resource is home to the endangered El Segundo Blue Butterfly and hundreds of other California native plants and animals. As a volunteer, you will help restore this ecosystem and expand the habitat of the El Segundo Blue. You will also have an opportunity to observe the wonders of the dunes up close.Volunteer activities include:Transplanting native plantsWatering native plantsPlease review the FAQs below to learn more about what you should bring on the day of the event and where to park.
