Krewe of Barkus "Meet the Royals" Party at Dat Dog Freret

Behold the distinguished dogs of The Mystic Krewe of Barkus at their "Meet the Royals" event at Dat Dog 5030 Freret on Sunday Feb. 1st, 11am-2pm. Hosted by Barkus muse and WDSU Chief Meteorologist Emeritus Margaret Orr and official krewe artist Matt Rinard, this fun-filled fundraiser for the Krewe of Barkus will feature delicious 'dogs alongside the debonair dogs, with a portion of all sales benefitting animal welfare organizations. Bask in the majesty of courtly canines when they make their official appearances around noon. "Sit" and "stay" for a reading of Ms. Orr's new children's book, "Scrim My Tail." Maybe Scrim will run by? Also- don't miss art vendors with unique Mardi Gras accessories for dogs and humans alike as well as a very special performance by the Weather Girls dance krewe. Dogs of every shape and size are welcome- costumes are encouraged! See you there with tails wagging!
