The Ground Glows Black,’ join us at Hauser & Wirth Downtown Los Angeles for a life drawing workshop led by artist Christina Quarles, who began her practice by learning through and participating in figure drawing sessions.This workshop will include a series of figurative drawing exercises that explore the many ways artists engage with the human figure. The session will begin with an introduction to Quarles’ practice, followed by a guided workshop featuring a live model. Complimentary drawing materials will be provided; however, participants are welcome to bring any of the following:Newsprint paper (18 x 24 inches or larger)Vine, Willow, and/or Compressed CharcoalDrawing BoardsPlease arrive promptly at 11 am for check-in ahead of the session, which begins at 11.30 am.This workshop experience is intimate, and space is limited to up to 30 participants. Tickets are $20 each. The event is designed for adults. Participants ages 12 and over may attend if accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the workshop.
