Julia will give a brief how-to collage tutorial, then you get to cut and paste using her personal stash of vintage magazines. This is a small class size, so if you have questions as you go, she's around for one-on-one help.If you have a rough idea for a collage already, great! If not, no worries. PLAY is the best part of collage and the unknown is your friend. She works with collected vintage magazines and ephemera to create playful, maximalist collages. With a goal of making art accessible and FUN, Julia hosts collage workshops where she teaches you how to collage (and even encourages you to cut up her vintage stash of magazines!)Prior to focusing on her freelance career, Julia worked in the design industry for over 11 years. She has licensed artwork to brands like Urban Outfitters, created editorial illustrations for the likes of Women’s Wear Daily and British Vogue, as well as worked with and led in-house marketing design teams for various companies as a Design Director.
