- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 18 Apr, 2026 at 05:30 pm – Sat, 18 Apr, 2026 at 08:30 pm (-07:00)
- **Event Description**: Join us for our next Cocktails in Historic Places® as we head to one of Los Angeles’ older neighborhoods to visit The Airline Bar in Lincoln Heights.

The Airliner Bar dates back at least 100 years. For many years it was the lounge for a steakhouse next door and later a dive bar with a reputation for eclectic music in the “Mile High Lounge.” The historic space is now the creation of chef Vinh Nguyen and Gary Wang. The bar menu designed by Avery Millard, previous of Bar Agricole and the Line Hotel in San Francisco features inventive cocktails described by Eater - “the Missed Connections acts like a vegetal, Tiki-esque drink. The Fly Mamacita is a less-sweet Paloma variant with Thai chile-rambutan shrub, and the In the Same Breath is like an Old Fashioned but with yerba mate-infused vermouth and dill oil.” Of the food, Eater says, “delightful Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes that are rather remarkable.”

Early attendees can take advantage of the Happy Hour menu.

We look forward to conversations about historic Los Angeles, vintage clothing and cars, home restorations and all things Jazz Age!

This gathering is free, but you are on the hook for food and beverage you wish to consume. The bar is open past 8:30 PM, so feel free to stay as long as you would like. Vintage or vintage-inspired attire preferred, but not required.

Traditionally, the Art Deco Society of Los Angeles members gather once a month in an historic building with a bar, to socialize and revel in the beauty of historic architecture. It is our duty to patronize businesses in historic buildings! We welcome interested persons to join us. This no-host cocktail gathering is open to members and non-members alike, and no reservations are required to attend.
