Afterward, we'll head to the beach for guided writing prompts, community-building activities, and an open mic to close out our first day together.SaturdaySaturday begins on the campus of USC, where we'll spend the day participating in engaging workshops, literary trivia, community activities, and a catered lunch. We are also thrilled to welcome a special keynote speaker who will share wisdom and inspiration with our community of writers.Following the daytime programming, you'll have time to rest and prepare for one of the most anticipated events of the year: the CLI Summer Formal & Gala. Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring performances by Tommy Domino and Pw., along with an open mic celebration of our talented community. Food will be provided, and guests are encouraged to dress in formal attire.SundayOur final day is one of the most exciting milestones in the Community Literature Initiative experience. Students will have the opportunity to pitch their manuscript projects directly to publishers and independent presses in attendance on USC's campus.With a diverse group of publishing professionals joining us in person, this is a unique opportunity to take the next step toward becoming a published author.
