Join me for a special evening with friend and former RISD alum, David Wiseman. David has invited us to visit his Frogtown studio to walk us through his artistic process.
The event will begin 7pm at David's studio. The address will be shared via email for all those attending. Those who RSVP are also welcome to meet me at my shop and take a short walk down to his studio at 6:30 pm.
David’s work is rooted in a deep reverence for nature, global decorative traditions, and enduring craft. He reimagines historical ornamentation through contemporary forms—porcelain cherry blossom ceilings, bronze filigree screens, and marble inlay furniture—affirming beauty’s relevance in modern life. Creating primarily unique, studio-made objects in Los Angeles, Wiseman bridges sculpture, design, and craftsmanship with conceptual depth. His site-specific installations span public institutions, private collections, and international brands, with works held in the permanent collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, Crystal Bridges, LACMA, and the RISD Museum.
