Intended for all ages 6 and up.About this EventEnvironmental Volunteers’ Family Nature Walks program is designed to help community members get to know our local open space areas. Small groups will be guided by a knowledgeable environmental educator during an exploration of a local open space. These small groups will be introduced to fun nature-based activities, and a chance to learn more about the plants and animals all around us. Join us for some fun, outdoor learning!Each group will have a maximum limit of 12 participants. Meet at the Boronda Lake Dock.Families/groups are welcome to sign up for as many as they like. The nature walks are intended for all ages 6 and up, but children must be accompanied by an adult. NOTE: These walks are intended for small groups, only. If you are interested in scheduling a walk for a group of 6 or more people, please see our "Nature Walks for Groups" information and schedule a private walk for your group.If registration is full, get on the waitlist! If the waitlist is large enough, additional groups can be created if EV Nature Walk leaders are available.*Before registering, please review the precautions and requirements for participation:At least one participant from your group must be an adult. Nature Walk leaders will not lead groups of children who do not have an accompanying adult.All participants will be asked to sign a Waiver of Liability and a Photo Release before programs. Photo Releases are optional but Waivers are required for participation.Please let us know if you're no longer able to participate!Note: Foothills Nature Preserve has a visitor entrance fee on the weekends, of $6 per vehicle.
