- **Event Description**: Dance Arts Los Alamos presents Sugar Plum on "The Hill": Part 3, The Mysterious March from December 5-7, 2025 at the Duane Smith Auditorium! This original ballet is the third installment of DALA Artistic Director Jonathan Guise's one-of-a-kind Nutcracker on "The Hill" trilogy, which gives the beloved classic Nutcracker story a unique twist honoring the history of Los Alamos, New Mexico. The Spy, Gwen, and Oppie must travel through time to help the Sugar Plum Fairy and restore the Land of Sweets, encountering new (and old) friends along the way! This will be the second time Sugar Plum on "The Hill" has been performed, originally premiering here in Los Alamos in December, 2022. This year's performance is truly an occasion not to be missed with DALA's largest cast yet of over 130 dancers ranging from ages three through adult! Featuring appearances by community members and Christo McMaster, Guest Artist from Festival Ballet Albuquerque. Choreography and staging for the 2025 production is by Jonathan Guise, Rachel Zervakos, Allison Beaux, Lucilene de Geus, Isabella Jimenez, Audrey Roman, Natalie Smith.
