Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is the most efficient practice for putting you in touch with your original Self – it evokes your awareness and encourages an intuitive unfolding of your own nature.  This practice works on the whole body, strengthening the immune system, nervous system, circulation system, and glandular system. It also increases awareness of the impact of subconscious habits and patterns

Kundalini Meditation and Breathwork (Pranayam) are part of Kundalini Yoga.

Through meditation, you can ease your mind’s restlessness and develop the intuition to distinguish what you’d like to focus your energy on.  By learning to control your breath, you can control your mind and your mood.

Many Kundalini Meditations utilize mantras, which are formulas that alter the patterns of the mind and the chemistry of the brain, according to physical and metaphysical laws.  Mantras are the creative projection of the mind through sound

We’ll start off by tuning in with a sacred mantra that connects us to the lineage of gurus (teachers) who’ve come before us – and to the teacher within ourselves.

Next, we will prepare our bodies for meditation with a brief warm up exercise, followed by pranayam (breathing exercises), which shifts us to a greater state of awareness.

We will learn a kundalini meditation that works our whole system, incorporating breath, mudra (hand position), mantra (sound), and eye focus.  We will chant mantras, which is a conscious way of controlling and directing the mind by setting vibrations into motion that have a positive effect.  “As you vibrate, the universe vibrates with you.” ~ Yogi Bhajan

Each class will focus on a vital theme, such as prosperity, intuition, healing, balance and many more.

By practicing Kundalini yoga and meditation regularly, our awareness expands, confidence in the Self builds, and we can truly step into our Power.

About Christina: 

Christina Barlow is a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation teacher, a Reiki practitioner and an empath.   Perpetually seeking her purpose on this Earth, the deeply spiritual practice of Kundalini yoga and meditation transformed Christina’s life in the first class.  It was as though a long forgotten part of her was found.

These powerful tools have helped her to thrive as both a highly sensitive person and an empath – to cope with deep anxiety and a fear of being herself.

Christina is passionate about connecting people with alternative strategies to bring physical balance, and providing resources for emotional wellness.   She works with individuals with various illnesses by intuitively guiding them to modalities that support their condition. She is dedicated to educating folks on ways to heal themselves on a physical, emotional, psychological, energetic, and spiritual level.  

You can find Christina retreating to nature whenever possible, whether it be to hike, camp, or garden.  Her daily intention is to find new ways to incorporate the deeply healing aspects of nature in every day city living.
