Hatakeyama Gallery's LAST Exhibit: Lost in the City of Angels
We want to bring back Street Photography within the walls of the gallery. This exhibit will be a send-off that shows the community’s appreciation for Downtown LA and Simple Studio as a hub and learning center for emerging photographers for the last 4 years. The exhibit is called “Lost in the City of Angeles”and focuses on downtown LA as seen through the viewfinders of 4 incredibly talented photographers. In a way, most street photographers have similar stories on how they started shooting. Photographing on the streets have been a way to break out from the 9 to 5 routine as a creative outlet. We all started out lost in the sprawl of the big city and Downtown has been a place where we can come to find ourselves and meet like-minded people to share our passion.
The featured photographers are as follows: Rinzi Ruiz, Dana Barsuhn, David Valera and Mark Rosales.
As part of our community celebration, we have decided to clear out the studio showroom and invited the rest of the street photography community to contribute some pieces to display.
