One benefit that many Veterans do not know that they are entitled to is an Non-surgical Hair Replacement System covered up to 100%. We are currently Vendors for the Houston/Harris County, Hines, Illinois, and Loma Linda, California VA Hospital. There are tons of VA hospitals around the USA and we do travel to our clients not located in Houston so fill out the form, even if you are not located in texas. At Divine Beauty Bar we accept Veteran (VA) Benefits for members who are experiencing hair loss whether it is due to genetics, age or a medical condition. We service men, women and children as well. A Cranial Prosthetic is not your typical unit that you see in beauty supply stores or what others refer to as "custom unit." We go beyond your measurements and create a Cranial Mold of your head so that we can provide a snug, "true custom" fit just for you! Divine Beauty has been a Licensed Cosmetoloist sice 2011. We have taken our research and education further and received certifications in Medical Wigs and Hair Loss.

Another huge difference from your typical Wigs of Instagram (apart from longetivity and durability), a Cranial Prosthetic differs by the construction and material used to create YOUR unit. Polyurethane, Monofilament, Lace or a combination is used and design according to your area of hair loss. Please click the link for more information on cap construction.

What is a Cranial Prosthesis?

A hair prosthesis (or cranial prosthesis) is a custom-made wig specifically designed for patients who have lost their hair as a result of medical conditions or treatments. Doctors have been prescribing these prostheses since the 1950s. Cranial prostheses also help to protect disease-weakened immune systems from the sun, and to regulate body temperature.

Cranial hair prostheses have advanced due to technology. Cranial hair prosthesis is done in several steps that include the taking of the cranial perimeter mold to achieve a perfect fit. The mold is done at the base where the hair is attached. The base is made using a hypoallergenic fabric because people having chemotherapy are usually very sensitive to any material, and their scalp is prone to allergies. The same is done when applying the hair to the base. The technique used to attach the hair is focused on avoiding that the knotting touches the scalp.
