Based on the blockbuster motion picture turned Broadway musical, Beetlejuice JR. tells the story of a strange and unusual teenager named Lydia Deetz, who is grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with death. Luckily for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium. 

Beetlejuice JR. is part of Music Theatre International’s Broadway Junior® collection of musicals, which are 30- and 60-minute versions of classic and modern shows adapted for the needs of younger performers

McLaughlin Theatre Company was established in 2009 under the Sierra Performing Arts Association. The company has put on more than 100 shows, ranging from mini musicals to main stage productions. MTC offers theatrical workshops for all ages and skill levels, as well as audition-only musical stage productions for those looking for even more of a challenge. Our directors and choreographers promote an encouraging and exciting learning environment that is designed to push aspiring actors, singers, and dancers to strive for their full potential, so that they will be better prepared for entry into the real world industry.
