No experience necessary.About this EventAbout the hike/yoga: In celebration of this summer's full moon, join us for a 3.5 mile hike up to the gorgeous Bluff overlook where we will participate in a Community Vinyasa Yoga Class. Vinyasa yoga is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. This class will contain seated, kneeling, and standing postures carefully sequenced to gently stretch and strengthen your body while tapping into your moving meditation. No experience necessary—this class is open to all levels! The instructor will be happy to offer any modifications and assists for all levels of practice. The total mileage of the hike will be approximately 3.5 miles with 400 feet of elevation gain.About the instructors: Grace Strang is a 200hr Yoga Alliance certified instructor. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and loves sharing her joy and passion for yoga with others. Grace aspires to teach classes from the heart that hopefully help create a healing, energized, inclusive, and uplifting environment for her students.Important Information below. Please read all the way through!Date: Friday, August 28thMeeting Time: Please arrive no later than 5:30 pm ET at Lula Lake Land Trust (5000 Lula Lake Rd. Lookout Mountain, GA 30750). The gate will open at 4:45 pm ET and will close promptly at 5:30 pm and entry will not be allowed after this time. The hike will leave from the meadow promptly at 5:45 pm and it takes 5-10 minutes to drive to there, so please arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to park and get ready.Registration: Registration is required. This is a free event, but please consider making a donation at checkout using the "add on" option. Donations go directly back to maintaining the trails owned by Lula Lake Land Trust, a conservation-focused non-profit organization working hard to protect over 4,000 acres of land on Lookout Mountain, GA. Thank you for your support!Cancellations: Please do not register if you're not 100% sure you can make it! This is a very popular event and there are others who would love to take your spot if you can't attend. If you are registered for this event and cannot make it, please let us know ASAP by contacting: daniel@lulalake.org or by calling (706)-820-0520.Bring: Your own yoga mat/props, plenty of drinking water (there are no water stations on-site), sturdy hiking shoes/boots, and a headlamp or flashlight (we may be hiking out in the dark).Hiking Abilities: Please make sure you and everyone in your group can hike independently for 3.5 miles with an elevation gain of 450 feet. This is considered a moderate hike for most people in reasonable shape.Allergies: If you are allergic to bee stings or anything else in nature, please carry your own EpiPen as we do not have one on site.At the end of the event: This event will take place on private property and all participants must leave after the yoga/hike has ended.
