Welcome to the Shire of River's Bend Monthly Game Meet-up!
In the newly appointed capacity of Game Master for the Shire: I invite everyone to come enjoy some community building time playing games together! My goal is to build community, through a friendly gathering.
Theme: Dice Games
I will be providing the games, and while I WILL bring historically accurate options? This is about fun and community. I will also be bringing non-historical games as well.
Planned games available will be solo/partner/group playable, and healthy competition will be encouraged with a random door prize, as well as a competition prize. Healthy would mean respectful, it's FRIENDLY competition!
Historical Game list: Senet (Ancient Egyptian), Glückshaus (German, 16th Century), Backgammon (European), The Royal Game of Ur (Ancient Mesopotamian), Hazard (14th Century?)... I'll update as I find more...
Games of the Modern Times: Yahtzee, Farkle (aka Hot Dice, 10k, Race to 10k), Canoe, Strut!, Staggers, Dice Throne, Liar's Dice (Pirate Dice)... there's a few "relatively unknown" math games that use polyhedral (many sided) dice too!
All ages welcome - there will be kid friendly options.
Please feel free to offer suggestions of games you enjoy that you would like included! ... And please bring a Dice Cup (or really any cup to hide your dice for Liar's Dice)
