Vous souhaitez participer à la compétition ? Présentez vous sur place avec une contribution volontaire du montant de votre choix (argent comptant et cartes acceptées). Vous voulez seulement regarder et encourager les personnes participantes ? Venez en grand nombre, avons besoin de vous pour juger la finale !
Format de la compétition : « Strictly anything goes » (bienvenue aux débutant·e·s). Présentez vous avec votre partenaire. Prélims danse sociale puis tap out. Jusqu'à 5 couples seront sélectionnés pour la finale. Finale en battle jugé par le public et prix de participation pour les gagnants.
Ouvert à toustes ; contribution volontaire obligatoire pour participer. L'activité commencera à 19h mais vous pouvez venir pratiquer ou manger dans nos locaux avant !
À propos des Social Hangout : tous les jeudis, Hélène vous propose de partager un moment chaleureux pour échanger sur les aspects culturels des danses afro-descendantes en compagnie de personnes invitées et membres de la communauté. Chaque semaine, nous ouvrirons cet espace pour partager nos connaissances sur la culture du jazz, renforcer la compréhension de nos danses, socialiser entre pairs et développer un meilleur sentiment d'appartenance à la Communauté Cat's Corner. Visionnage de clips et de films, conversations ouvertes, potluck et friperie, pratiques ouvertes et jams de danse : l'hiver sera doux chez Cat's Corner.

The competition season is about to begin, so let's take this opportunity to share a festive and competitive moment on Thursday, March 19th at 7PM.
Would you like to join the competition? Come and pay what you can (cash and cards accepted). Would you just like to watch and cheer on the participants? Come along in large numbers, we need you to judge the final!
Competition format: “Strictly anything goes” (beginners welcome). Show up with your partner. Social dance prelims followed by tap out. Up to 5 couples will be selected for the finals. Finals will be judged by the audience, and winners will receive participation prizes.
Open to all; pay what you can. The activity will start at 7PM, but you are welcome to come and practice or eat on site before then!
About Social Hangouts: every Thursday, Hélène invites you to share a warm moment of exchange on the cultural aspects of Afro-descendant dances with guests and members of the community. Each week, we'll open this space to share our knowledge of jazz culture, strengthen understanding of our dances, socialize with peers and develop a greater sense of belonging to the Cat's Corner Community. Video and film screenings, open conversations, potluck and clothes swap, open practices and dance jams: it's going to be a sweet winter at Cat's Corner.
