- **Event Description**: Are you interested in being in the parade at the spectacular Winter Gathering event in Longton Park?About this EventThe Winter Gathering - Parade Performer Call OutUrban Wilderness CIC is putting on a spectacular Winter Gathering event on Saturday 13 December, 4-6pm in Longton Park and we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be part of the fun in the parade.The parade will take place at dusk, led by drum and brass parade band KiLNE, with giant lantern puppets, willow lanterns and costume and there will be a fire show finale. You might be interested in wearing one of our headdresses or carrying a lantern, or you might have your own idea of how you'd like to take part. Come along to The Moony Club in the Longton Exchange Shopping Centre on Thursday 20th November at 7pm to talk to us about being part of the parade. The Moony Club is step-free and wheelchair accessible. Toilets are gender-neutral but located up two flights of stairs, which may be difficult for those with accessibility needs. The nearest accessible toilet is The Coffee House, around 200 metres away.Longton Train Station is less than a 5-minute walk from the venue. There are multiple bus stops along The Strand, with services to and from Newcastle and Hanley.
