Altar of Song is a gathering where we come together in a circle, with a living altar; to share songs, poems, and intentions for the benefit of all beings.

Each circle is an invitation share your heart through song— a space of collective listening, expression, and community. By gathering in this way, we nurture both local song circles and global projects supporting children and future generations.

? Why We Gather
To SING!! SING!! SING!! and build community through shared song and prayer*

To practice shared leadership in song sharing

To grow!- Perhaps its an edge of growth to share an original song, or lead a group in song

To be together wholesomely 

*When we say “prayer,” we refer to a universal form of intention — non-religious yet honoring all religions, spiritual paths, and those who walk without any.

To support children’s charity projects in Latin America
To raise funds for recording original music with the Sister Winds Sounds label — amplifying songs that carry prayers* for the Earth & People


Altar of Song ~ Circle Flow
~1.5 hours held in a circle with an altar (we refer to it as a "living altar" cause you have the option to add and remove items you bring)

~Everyone has equal opportunity to share

~A shared Expression Piece (stick, stone, feather, rattle, instrument) is passed around to honor turns

~Participants may offer songs, poems, prayers, or intentions (1–5 minutes each) OR PASS if you WISH

~Original songs and sing-alongs are especially encouraged as seeds for future choir gatherings and recordings

~? Song Etiquette: Please share where the song comes from — your own, or a teacher, community, or lineage

"Sisters" to all people: We welcome all genders, ages, races, and walks of life. Children are welcome if they can participate respectfully.

? November 5th Kick-Off & Birthday Celebration!
Join us as we launch this new Altar of Song program — and celebrate our dear sister Flora’s birthday! ?

Flora has given so much love & support to the Sister Winds choirs, and we’re so grateful for her presence. After the circle, stay for a potluck and praises in her honor!

If you haven’t met Flora yet — lucky you — you’ll get to meet her on her birthday, and you’re warmly welcome to join the celebration.

If you are already familiar with Sister Winds Foundation you know that we have put on 16 family festivals and have had many seasons of choir performances as The Mystic Choir and The Medicine Weavers.
This Altar of Song program is keep our singing alive and community of song and hearts growing . 
The Altar of Song is now the beginning step to grow our community of song and dreams.
Take a look at Our Three-Step Vision :
Altar of Song Sharing: Open song circles where everyone has the chance to offer original songs, poems, or intent- and some originals may be offered (then chosen) to then perform with the choir.
Medicine Weavers and Mystic Performance Choirs: Enhancing individuals performance experiences and bringing these songs to wider audiences to uplift community and raise funds. Next season is the summer
Recording & Legacy: Recording original songs with our record label — splitting proceeds with the songwriter and global projects for children.
